About

Lia Skidmore has been an art dealer and advisor to art collectors for over thirty years. Her gallery Skidmore Contemporary Art opened in Malibu in 1998. In 2009, the gallery relocated to Bergamot Station in Santa Monica. In 2023, the gallery transitioned to a digital and mobile gallery, focusing on art fairs, pop-up exhibitions and appointments at their new mid-century style office at the Wilshire Regent. After six months of exhibiting pop-up galleries and showing at art fairs in the desert, the gallery officially opened their doors in their new Palm Desert location on El Paseo in February 2024.

In addition to the exhibition program, the gallery provides collectors with art advisory services and art market analysis for the discreet acquisition and resale of works of American Post-War and Contemporary Art.
