Kurt Herrmann is an American painter whose work has been exhibited domestically in cities including Chicago, Austin, Philadelphia, Miami, and internationally in Auckland, New Zealand and Hobart, Australia.

Herrmann's paintings continue the language of hard edge abstraction that originated in California during the late 1950s. He translates his lived experiences, memories, and perceptions into expressive statements of form and color. Balancing energetic spontaneity with meditations on visual structure, Herrmann's boldly stylized compositions reflect the visual rhythms and dynamic intensity of the Appalachian landscape.

Featured in interviews, exhibition coverage, and critical reviews, Herrmann’s work is published in Time Out Chicago, Art Guide Australia, and The English Room, alongside artist profiles and virtual studio visits with galleries and arts organizations in the United States, Australia, and New Zealand.
