Bauer Pottery 2000
In 1930 in Los Angeles, J.A. Bauer began to produce a new line of slipcast Artware called California Colored Pottery that included vividly colored glazed ceramic vases, oil jars, planters, and jardinieres. New products and colorware designs were continuously introduced until operations ceased in 1961.
Having captured the attention of antique collectors across the country for decades J.A. Bauer's vintage artware enjoyed an ardent following among colorware ceramics fans in particular.
Janek Boniecki was so avidly collected Bauer that, in 1998, he acquired the Bauer trademark allowing him to revive the brand with new molds dervide from his personal collection of preexisting J.A. Bauer designs creditted to Russell Wright, Tracy Irwin, Victor F. Houser, Corita Kent, et al — sometimes tweaking them for the 21st century.
Contemporary artware collectors can feel confident knowing that Bauer Pottery 2000 is glazed as vividly as the original line. Bauer Pottery 2000 retains the brand's signature colorways while introducing the highest production quality possible.
